As part of Bekesbourne with Patrixbourne's Parish Council's annual audit process, local electors have the right to inspect the council's accounting records and related documents during a specified period each year.

This is an important part of ensuring transparency and accountability in how public funds are managed. Residents can review the accounts, ask questions about the council's finances, and, if necessary, raise concerns with the external auditor.

The Parish Council currently has one vacancy for the role of Parish Councillor and invites applications from members of the community who wish to contribute to local governance and decision-making.

One vacancy has arisen recently, and the formal Notice of Vacancy is available to view under the Councillor Vacancies section of this website. A further vacancy also remains open.

Serving as a Parish Councillor provides an opportunity to represent the interests of residents, participate in shaping local services, and support the continued development of the parish. No prior experience is required; however, a commitment to public service and an interest in local matters are essential.
